Carol Phillips is the past Director of Administration for the Los Angeles and San Francisco offices of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP. Sidley Austin Brown & Wood is an international law firm with 1500 lawyers. Carol holds a B.A. in English Literature and an M.B.A. Recently, she was awarded the Certified Legal Manager certification. Carol is a past president of the Association of Legal Administrators, an international organization of over 8,500 members. Carol is a founding member of the College of Law Practice Management, and was inducted as a Fellow of the College in 1994. Currently, Carol’s volunteer activities include advisor to the University of West Los Angeles College of Paralegal Studies, and activities on behalf of the Law Practice Management Section of the American Bar Association. Carol was named as a “Woman of the Year” by the Century City Chamber of Commerce. She is a frequent speaker and author on topics relating to organizational development.
