CITATION UPON INDUCTION INTO THE COLLEGE
Carole’s strong electronic research & training skills developed during twenty years of extensive and diversified experience as a law librarian, legal research & writing professor, and practicing attorney prompted her to found Internet For Lawyers in 1999 to assist lawyers to learn how the Internet could enhance their practice management. Carole has been president of Internet For Lawyers for twelve years. Her company is the only company in the U.S. whose full-time focus is on teaching Internet research and technology to lawyers. She has assisted thousands of lawyers to understand how to use the Internet to effectively and efficiently conduct research for their clients and how to avoid potential ethical traps when using social media. She has also taught them about cloud computing.
Carole’s contributions extend to her many leadership roles in local and national bar and library associations, especially her eight years as an active member of ABA LPM’s Publications Board and her eight years serving on the California State Bar’s LPMT’s Executive Committee, with one year as its Chair and one year as its Vice-Chair.
