Despina Kartson has proven time and again her dedication to the advancement of law practice management. Although today she serves as Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer at Morgan Lewis & Bockius – leading global business development and marketing strategies, and a staff of more than 90 – she began her career in law practice management quite differently, holding senior technology positions at Cravath, Swaine & Moore and at  White & Case. During that time, she authored two technology-oriented guides: Computerized Litigation Support and Designing Litigation Support Databases. From there she moved on to Bowne Business Solutions as Vice President of Business Development. Despina has always been more of a giver than a taker. She has held leadership roles in the Legal Marketing Association, the Metropolitan New York Chapter of LMA, the Marketing Partner Forum, and the Women’s Venture Fund. She is a frequent speaker and author. Despina serves her firm and her profession with grace and sophistication, and is sure to become an active and contributing Fellow of the College of Law Practice Management.
