Jim St Clair practiced forty one years in a three person general practice law firm in Huntington, West Virginia. He served the West Virginia State Bar as member- chair of its Unlawful Practice Committed; Law Practice Management Committee which was later the Technology Committee; was recognized by the State Bar for his work in CLE. Elected President of the WV Trial Lawyers Association; Member of the Council of the ABA Law Practice Management Section; Served on many committees of the Section; Served as a volunteer for the ABA’s Central European and Eurasian Law Initiative in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan; Served as the Rule of Law Liaison in Bosnia and Herzegovina for eleven months; Taught Law Practice Management in Law Schools in U.S. and several foreign countries; Taught Bridge the Gap programs for many years; Served as Member, President and grader for the WV Board of Law Examiners; Spoken at numerous CLE Programs on Law Practice Management and trial practice; Has been teaching commercial law as a volunteer for the International Senior Lawyers Project for the last five years in South Africa and Botswana. Serves the West Virginia Bar Association as Chair of the Senior Lawyers Division and Member of the Bar’s Executive Council. Retired from the active practice of law in 2002 and now serve as the full time President of Huntington Realty Corporation, a multiple faceted real estate development and management company.
