Mark Robertson is a member of Robertson & Williams, a business law firm in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He has an undergraduate degree from DePauw University, studied public international law at the University of Edinburgh and has a juris doctor degree from the University of Oklahoma.
Mark has practiced law since 1975 in private practice with extensive business, corporate and securities transactional experience. He is outside general counsel for several public companies, an investment banking firm and numerous private and family businesses including energy, real estate, manufacturing, software, hotel, retail, entertainment, franchise and banking institutions.
A frequent lecturer on small and mid-sized law firm marketing and management issues, he is a former columns and articles editor for the ABA Law Practice Management magazine, and is former ABA Law Practice Management Section Chairman, member of the ABA House of Delegates, co-author and editor of ABA publication Winning Alternatives to the Billable Hour, and contributing author on law firm management topics to ALI-ABA, the American Bar Association and various state and local bar association publications.
Mark is President of the Kirkpatrick Foundation, which provides support through grants for central Oklahoma non-profit organizations in four major areas including: Arts and Culture, Education, Animal Concerns and Environmental Conservation-natural, man-made and the built environment. He is also a founding board member and corporate secretary for Creative Oklahoma, Inc., an Oklahoma non-profit showcasing Oklahoma as the State of Creativity in education, commerce and culture.
Mark is a Trustee of the College of Law Practice Management.
