Ross Fishman’s branding programs and WordPress websites have received countless international marketing awards from organizations ranging from the LMA, ALA, and ABA to Inc. magazine, including winning first-place honors in the Legal Marketing Association’s international competition in 17 straight years.
He received LMA’s top honor, the optional “Best of Show” five times. In fact, the award was actually created because of the effectiveness of one of his early marketing campaigns that helped a midsized firm grow 50% in 18 months: “Ross was going to win awards in so many categories that LMA created the ‘Best of Show’ award so he’d win one grand prize instead of nearly all the individual trophies” (LMA’s “In the Loop,” Fall, 2009).
Known as an “entertaining and educational” presenter, Ross has presented 300 keynote addresses, law firm retreats, continuing legal education (CLE), and marketing-training programs on five continents, including once presenting on three continents in 24 hours. His popular Ethics presentations are especially well regarded, often called “Not nearly as boring as all the other CLE speakers.”
A Fellow of both the College of Law Practice Management and the Litigation Counsel of America, he received the LMA’s first peer-selected “Lifetime Achievement” award, and was the first inductee into the Legal Marketing Association’s “Hall of Fame.” He received his B.A. in Speech Communications, cum laude, from the University of Illinois, and his J.D. from Emory University College of Law.
