Save the Dates — October 4 & 5! Don’t miss the 2013 College of Law Practice Management Futures Conference!
Come join COLPM thought-leaders and innovators in a highly interactive forum. Following a unique TED format, Futures Conference speakers will challenge us to discuss the most pressing issues facing the legal industry today:
- The market for legal services in the future – TED provocateur Ann Lee Gibson
- Successful innovation in law firms – TED provocateur Jordan Furlong
- The crisis of legal education – TED provocateur Bill Henderson
Each TED speaker will set the stage with a 15-minute provocation. Immediately after each presentation, experienced College facilitators will lead interactive discussion groups to react, analyze, explore and ultimately make recommendations for action. We will share findings and publish these break-out “recommendations and position statements” on the College website after the conference.
Our keynote speaker, Stephen Mayson, will kick off the Futures Conference. For more than 25 years, Stephen has advised law firms around the world on issues of strategy, economics, ownership and valuation. He has a particular interest in the reconfiguration of the legal world being driven by competition and the Legal Services Act 2007, while maintaining a firm belief in the need for professional ethics and integrity in business.
The 8th Annual InnovAction Award recognizing innovation and ingenuity in the delivery of legal services will also be presented at the Futures Conference. Deadline is June 30, 2013. More information at www.innovactionaward.com.
Mark your calendars for October 4-5, 2013 at Chicago Kent Law School. Note that space is limited for this one-of-a-kind program, so you’ll want to commit early! Watch for more details and the opportunity to register.
